The International Snowdrop Day is traditionally celebrated on April 19th.
This delicate, fragile flower has long been a symbol of the end of winter and the beginning of spring. The holiday, which was dedicated to him, gives spring warmth, inspires joy, hope and brings smiles to faces.

Snowdrops are a large group of early-flowering plants. Some types of snowdrops are listed in the Red Book of the Russian Federation and regional Red Books. The importance of primroses in nature is exceptionally great. The nectar of these plants serves as food for bumblebees and other pollinating insects, at a time of the year when other plants have not yet awakened from their winter torpor.
In Russia, an administrative fine of 2.5 - 5 thousand rubles is provided for the collection and sale of snowdrops for individuals, 15-20 thousand rubles for officials and from 500 thousand to 1 million rubles for legal entities. In addition, an additional 300 rubles is charged for each culled one.
