Tatarstan projects "Free Current" and "Revival of Saker Falcons" will compete for the victory in the national award "Crystal Compass"
The projects of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan on the revival of saker falcons and the elimination of trees from the waters of the Kazanka River are taking part in the people's vote in the special nomination "Public Recognition" of the national award "Crystal Compass"!
Let us recall that in 2023, a unique project of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan on the revival of Saker falcons was launched. The Saker falcon chicks were brought to the Kamsko-Ustinsky district of the republic, volunteers helped them survive in their natural habitat and stand on their wings. The whole process took place with the support of the scientific community.
Also, in order to continue work aimed at improving the ecological condition of water bodies, in 2023 the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, together with the Tatarstan branch of the Russian Geographical Society, implemented measures to eliminate tree blockages from the Kazanka River water area within the framework of the Free Current project.

For reference: The National Award "Crystal Compass" is held under the auspices of the Russian Geographical Society with the support of the Presidential Foundation for Cultural Initiatives. The winners are chosen among the authors of unique projects aimed at preserving the natural and historical and cultural heritage of Russia. During the award period, 3,720 projects from 45 countries and all regions of Russia were submitted for competition. More than 2.5 million users have already participated in the special nomination "Public Recognition", where the winner is determined by online voting.
