28 March 2024, Thursday

Today, the Ministry of Ecology held a meeting with representatives of the administrations of the districts of Kazan, as well as the Verkhneuslonsky, Pestrechinsky, Vysokogorsky, Zelenodolsk and Laishevsky districts nearby to the capital. As Ilnur Gubaidullin, First Deputy Minister of Ecology and Chief State Inspector of the Republic of Tatarstan in the field of environmental protection, noted at the beginning of the meeting, on April 1, Tatarstan traditionally starts a two-month sanitary cleaning and landscaping campaign.  As in previous years, the priority remains the cleaning of public spaces, forest belts and coastal areas. Special attention is planned to be paid to putting in order the territories of memorials of Glory, Alleys of memory of heroes of the Great Patriotic War, and burial sites. "Putting our districts in order is our long–standing tradition, we have been working with you for years, each of you knows your problem areas. I ask you once again to personally inspect all the territories where you had snow dumps, we all know these places, and we will also check them. Check if you have enough containers, maybe you should install one larger. Be ready for the start of the holiday season, hold meetings with the heads of the gardeners' non-commercial partnership, discuss problematic issues with them. By May 9th, we must put everything in order."  The Chief State Inspector of the Republic of Tatarstan in the field of environmental protection stressed that he would strictly monitor the elimination of identified waste accumulation sites, including in the framework of air raids and railway raids.

Along with this, within the framework of the two-month period, it is important to attract the maximum number of citizens, enterprises and organizations to the sanitary cleaning of the city, the first deputy minister noted.
