Since the beginning of the year, more than 759 thousand measurements have been carried out by automatic air pollution control stations of the Ministry of Ecology, including more than 254 thousand measurements carried out by five automatic air pollution control stations in Kazan.
In the period from March 1 to March 7, 1 excess in nitrogen dioxide was recorded with a maximum multiplicity of 1.63 MPC. It was recorded at the automatic air pollution control station (AAPCS-5) located in Kazan on I. Shakirov Ave. A possible reason for the excess may be the operation of vehicle engines during rush hour.
At the other stations of the Ministry, no exceedances of the maximum permissible concentration of pollutants were recorded over the past week.
Also, from March 1 to March 10, the Central Territorial Department of the Ministry of Ecology received 20 complaints about air pollution. The largest number of appeals came from residents of the Moskovsky and Kirovsky districts of Kazan. Inspectors carried out 7 sampling in Kirovsky, Aviastroitelny, Moskovsky and Novo-Savinovsky districts of Kazan.
No excess was detected in the samples taken from March 1 to March 5. The rest of the samples are in the laboratory for research.
