During the "Games of the Future" inspectors of the Ministry of Ecology carried out 28 patrol raids
Every day, starting on February 19, environmentalists conducted enhanced environmental monitoring of the territories where the competitions of the "Games of the Future" took place, as well as the road routes of the delegations. Special attention was paid to the control of the storage of snow masses, the maintenance of container sites, and wastewater discharge. A total of 28 raids were carried out. No violations of environmental legislation were detected during the patrolling of the territories. Mobile environmental laboratories were also on duty around the clock. The state of atmospheric air quality was monitored. 17 atmospheric air samples were taken. No exceedances of the maximum permissible concentrations of pollutants were detected.
In addition, during the period of the competition, the inspection staff promptly worked out 31 appeals from residents of the city. All complaints have been reviewed, and some samples that inspectors took on the basis of appeals are still in the works.
