Today, the President of Russia made very important statements during his address and outlined the vector for the coming years in all sectors and directions, including the environmental sphere.
Vladimir Vladimirovich stressed that over the past five years, 128 large landfills in cities and 80 objects of accumulated environmental damage have been eliminated, which literally poisoned people's lives in 53 regions. "Tatarstan is actively working in this direction - the largest objects of accumulated damage have been eliminated. The landfill in the village of Prosti has disappeared, the landfill in Menzelinsk has been reclaimed, a pilot project at the Samosyrovsky landfill has been completed – harmful gas has been turned into useful electricity there – all this thanks to the national Ecology project, which is being implemented on behalf of the President of our country," said Tatarstan Ecology Minister Alexander Shadrikov.
The Head of State set a task to sort all solid waste by 2030 and reuse at least a quarter of it.
Taking into account modern environmental standards, public transport will be developed. By 2030, the regions will receive up to 40 thousand buses, trolleybuses, trams, and electric buses.
Since 1983, the Clean Air operation to control emissions and identify excess pollutants in exhaust gases has been underway in Tatarstan. It takes place annually in the summer and, according to the results of the analysis, there is a tendency to decrease the number of vehicles with excess: the percentage of vehicles with 5 and 6 environmental classes that do not comply with the standards is almost zero.
The task from the President of the country is that, in general, the volume of harmful emissions into the atmosphere should be halved. A comprehensive environmental quality monitoring system will be created to assess the result.
Vladimir Vladimirovich also noted the need to increase salaries for specialists.
"The issues they solve are very important, and their incomes are very modest," the President said.
"Today, the head of state once again stressed that the topic of ecology is important for every person, he noted the importance of the work of environmental protection agencies and spoke about the need to increase salaries for specialists in forestry, hydrometeorology and environmental protection. Such support of the President of the country for our work is the highest assessment for all environmental agencies," Tatarstan Minister of Ecology Alexander Shadrikov noted that the Republic pays the closest attention to environmental protection issues, and all projects and programs find important support from residents of the region.
