Today, during his address to the Federal Assembly, Russian President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin paid great attention to environmental issues. As the head of state stressed, ecology is on the list of priority areas and directions. Among the tasks identified by the President are the creation of a fund for environmental and nature protection facilities, the continuation of work on the conservation of specially protected natural areas, the protection and restoration of rare and endangered species of plants and animals.
"In this regard, I suggest thinking about opening a network of rehabilitation centers for injured and confiscated wild animals. By 2030, we will create an infrastructure for eco-tourism in all national parks of the country, including ecological trails and hiking trails, including weekend routes for schoolchildren, recreation areas, museums and visitor centers," Vladimir Putin said.
Taking into account modern environmental standards, public transport will be developed. By 2030, the regions will receive up to 40 thousand buses, trolleybuses, trams, and electric buses.
In the whole country, the volume of harmful emissions into the atmosphere should be halved. A comprehensive environmental quality monitoring system will be created to assess the result.
The head of state also dwelt in detail on the protection of water bodies: "Over the past five years, thousands of kilometers of rivers and coasts have been cleared. Dirty drains into the Volga have been reduced by almost half. Now I propose to set a goal to halve the pollution of Russia's main water bodies."
It should be recalled that in the Republic, within the framework of the Volga Rehabilitation program, a pilot project for the reclamation of silt fields is being implemented, the reconstruction of the BOSK of Kazan is underway, and the dismantling of inactive oil pipelines of the Ozernoye field has been completed. Thanks to these events, Tatarstan is now among the three leaders in the implementation of the federal project "Improving the Volga River" of the national project "Ecology".
