The head of the Ministry of Ecology today spoke about major projects of Tatarstan implemented within the framework of the national Ecology project
"The landfill that has been poisoning the lives of Nizhnekamsk residents for many years has disappeared from the map of Tatarstan. This is a dump near the village Prosti. Do you remember how many stories and articles were published about fires at this facility, and now local residents say that springs were clogged where there used to be a landfill. This is the most obvious example of eco-rehabilitation!", - said the Minister of Ecology. He recalled that 731.1 million rubles were allocated for the liquidation of the landfill. Before that, in Nizhnekamsk, residents often complained about the ignition of an old industrial waste dump near the village of Prosti. Thanks to the national project, the landfill in Menzelinsk also disappeared, reclamation cost 170.6 million rubles, 58% of which are federal budget funds. As part of the federal Clean Country project, the huge Samosyrovsky landfill was reclaimed in 2023. Once upon a time, this particular object became a source of stench for residents of the village of Samosyrovo. On behalf of the President of Tatarstan, Rustam Nurgalievich Minnikhanov, the Executive Committee of Kazan has developed a project for the reclamation of the landfill and to date all work has been completed, the problem has been solved. An active degassing system has been implemented at the facility. The city is working on the issue of connecting the installation to the power grid.
Also, within the framework of the federal Clean Country project, last year, the liquidation of the second section of contaminated land near the village of Shemordan in the Sabinsky district began ahead of schedule. All work should be completed this year. In general, 470.5 million rubles, including 282 million rubles from the federal budget, were allocated for events in 2023 under the federal Clean Country project alone.
