Since 2019, 30 environmental protection measures have been carried out in Tatarstan within the framework of 6 federal projects of the national Ecology project. The Republic took part in 6 federal projects - "Improvement of the Volga River", "Preservation of unique water bodies", "Clean Water", "Clean Country", "Conservation of forests", "Integrated MSW management system". There are 8 more events planned for the next two years.
The Minister stressed that the main goal of all environmental protection activities is the ecological well-being of residents. "Today we will sum up not only the results of 2023, but also in general those 6 years that have passed since the signing of the May decrees by President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, which became the basis of national projects. In 2018, the head of state set the task to ensure a new quality of life and stressed that this requires "consolidation of efforts at all levels and branches of government, representatives of civil society and, of course, business," Alexander Shadrikov said.
In general, 60.5 billion rubles have been allocated for environmental protection measures in the Republic of Tatarstan over 6 years. Possible damage in the amount of more than 65 billion rubles has been prevented.
Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Victoria Abramchenko also noted Tatarstan's achievements in ecology during her working visit to the Republic: "In terms of the implementation of the national project "Ecology", the Republic of Tatarstan ranks first in the Volga Federal District."
Pilot projects for the whole country are being implemented in the region. The cost of sales amounted to 930.5 million rubles. Almost 24 kilometers of old pipes were lifted from the bottom of the river.

Thanks to the federal project, it was possible to improve the quality of life for 350 thousand people. The reclamation was carried out with the introduction of an active degassing system. The power plant is ready to generate electricity.
Summing up the results over the past few years, the Minister of Ecology once again stressed that thanks to the national project "Ecology", living conditions for 2.7 million residents of the republic have been improved.
"We see other results: According to the results of 2022, Tatarstan took the first place in the ESG criteria compliance rating. The rating was compiled by experts from the National Agency and the Mikhail Lomonosov Moscow State University. By the end of 2023, Tatarstan, along with Moscow, is also in the lead. I would like to emphasize once again that the systematic consolidated work of public authorities, science, business and the population has led to this result," Alexander Shadrikov summed up
