Tatarstan became the leader of the rating in compliance with ESG criteria

The National rating Agency and experts from the ESG laboratory of Moscow State University presented an updated rating of regions in terms of sustainable development and integration into their activities in 2023 of ESG criteria (Environmental - environment, Social - social responsibility, Governance — management). The top 5 regions included Tatarstan, Moscow, the Moscow Region, the Lipetsk Region and St. Petersburg, TASS reports.

Tatarstan has managed to get ahead thanks to comprehensive work in all areas. "In the ranking of 2023, the Republic of Tatarstan managed to ensure a balance of indicators in all blocks of the ranking and break out into the leaders thanks to comprehensive work in all areas of the ESG agenda. Moscow has moved to the second place in the ESG ranking. The capital continues to lead in terms of the absolute value of most indicators of the managerial and economic block (G), acts on a par with the leader in the block of social indicators (S), but is inferior in terms of the group of indicators of the environmental block (E). The Republic of Tatarstan is the leader in the environmental block," the message says.
