Today, before the start of the final board of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, an exhibition was held, where pilot projects of the department were presented. This is the Free Current project and a project to revive the Volga-Kama population of Saker falcons. Let us recall that in 2023, the team of the regional branch of the Russian Geographical Society traversed 25 km of the Kazanka River, cleared 25 accumulations, collected 480 bags of garbage, and lifted 1,200 tons of wood from the water. "Free current" became a continuation of the pilot project of the Ministry of Ecology to improve the ecological condition of the rivers of Tatarstan.
A project on the reintroduction of the saker falcon was also presented at the exhibition. Its main goal is to revive the population of the Red Book Saker falcon in our republic. The project was implemented by the Anatoly Shchepovskikh Regional Public Foundation for Environmental Protection on a grant from the SIBUR Formula of Good Deeds competition. Let us recall that the project became the winner of the V All-Russian competition of the best environmental practices "Reliable partner - Ecology" in the nomination "The best project in the field of conservation of biological diversity".
The guests were also told about the work of the "Scientific and Production Association Geocenter of the Republic of Tatarstan", the youth organization "It will be Clean" and presented a program for digitalization of the ecology and nature management industry
