Today, the final board of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources was held at the Bashir Rameev IT Park with the participation of First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Nigmatullin, Chief Federal Inspector for the Republic of Tatarstan Viktor Demidov and President of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan Rifkat Minnikhanov. At the very beginning of his speech, Minister of Ecology Alexander Shadrikov noted that the environmental agenda has always been and remains a priority. "The state of the environment largely determines the quality of life of our people. In the Year of Science, I will say in the words of our great scientists: the meaning of life is to serve people. I am sure everyone in this room shares this opinion," the head of the environmental protection agency began his speech. He noted that a year ago, at the last board meeting, he stressed the importance of working together to work out all complaints and questions from residents.
"The well-being of people is the highest value and priority! Russian President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin has repeatedly said this. The Head of State initiated 16 national projects. One of them, the national Ecology project, has become a driver of the country's economic and technological growth for the benefit of our residents," said Alexander Shadrikov.
Last year, the republic traditionally took part in 4 federal projects of the national project "Ecology". These are "Improving the Volga River", "Clean Country", "Preservation of unique water bodies" and "Conservation of forests".
3.5 billion rubles were allocated for the implementation of these projects in 2023. Thus, within the framework of the federal project "Improvement of the Volga River" in 2023, 2,833.9 million rubles were allocated. To date, reconstruction is underway at the largest wastewater treatment plants in Kazan within the framework of the federal project "Volga Rehabilitation". "In parallel with the reconstruction, the reclamation of silt fields is underway. This is a unique flagship project at the federal level, where we, together with the Executive Committee of Kazan, used a scientific and integrated approach to solving the problem. Reclamation is taking place in conjunction with the introduction by Vodokanal of Kazan of a sludge thermosetting workshop," the head of the department said. He explained that the completion of reclamation will remove the negative impact on the environment and will allow the territories to be included in the economic activities of the Republic.
The minister also noted that in 2023, a pilot project was completed to dismantle inactive pipelines of the Ozernoye oil field.
