At a meeting with journalists today, Alexander Shadrikov gave an analysis of the past few years. Thus, over the past 6 years, emissions in Tatarstan have decreased from 657.6 thousand to 423.1 thousand tons, and discharges from 319.7 million to 243.3 million cubic meters.
The negative impact on the environment is reduced due to increased cleaning efficiency through the construction and reconstruction of wastewater treatment plants, the introduction of recycling water supply schemes, the implementation of air protection measures by enterprises, as well as the transition to environmentally friendly fuels and transport.
"At the last meeting, I said that over 30 years we have achieved a 21.4% reduction in emissions. This year we can already say that this figure reaches 24.8% while maintaining GRP growth," the Minister of Ecology noted.
This also speaks about the environmental orientation of Tatarstan enterprises, Alexander Shadrikov stressed. The Ministry of Ecology is currently receiving on-line information on concentrations of pollutants in the atmospheric air from 9 AAPCS of our enterprises. These are 5 automatic stations for monitoring atmospheric air pollution of PJSC Nizhnekamskneftekhim, 3 stations for monitoring atmospheric air pollution of PJSC Tatneft and 1 control station of JSC TANECO. "Such openness and responsible attitude to environmental issues have already yielded results - at the end of the year we see a decrease in the number of exceedances in the territories of Nizhnekamsk and Almetyevsk. This is also confirmed by a decrease in the number of complaints from the population. I would like to note that over the past 5 years, the number of complaints from citizens in connection with atmospheric air pollution in Nizhnekamsk has decreased by almost 10 times. Despite the achieved results, given the active development of the Nizhnekamsk industrial complex, joint work with enterprises should be continued. We will soon start receiving data from the Kazanorgsintez PJSC station. The automatic station was launched here on December 15," Alexander Shadrikov said.
