Alexander Shadrikov: "Unity is our strength. Whatever the industry, whatever the topic, whatever the problem, only unity can make us stronger"

20 December 2023, Wednesday

A traditional New Year's Eve live broadcast with the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of Tatarstan Alexander Shadrikov took place today. In the Tatarstan Online program, the minister spoke about environmental protection measures, the implementation of the national project "Ecology" and answered questions from residents. In just an hour of live broadcast, 50 questions and 150 comments were received. Tatarstan residents were interested in what environmental measures were completed in 2023, where to address the problems of cluttering container sites and snow dumps, what projects on environmental awareness are planned to be carried out in the future, and the problem of atmospheric air quality in the northern zone of Kazan was also touched upon. The Minister of Ecology noted that this year the Ministry has received 0,892 complaints from residents about air quality. More than 705 thousand measurements of pollutants have already been carried out at three AAPCS stations located in this area of Kazan, 492 exceedances have been recorded, of which more than 80% for hydrogen sulfide. All excesses have been worked out and transferred to Rosprirodnadzor, since 81% of emissions in the northern zone of Kazan are emissions from enterprises subject to federal environmental supervision. "Only the court determines the perpetrators, I hope that our federal colleagues will bring the case to an end and we will hear who was directly the violator and had a negative impact on the quality of atmospheric air. This is a very big work that is being carried out, and we already note that there are fewer complaints," the Minister of Ecology said.  For an hour, Alexander Shadrikov answered questions from residents and at the end of the direct line noted that ecology is something that has no borders and unites everyone.

"Unity is our strength. No matter what industry, topic, or issue there is, only unity can make us stronger. If we talk about our industry, then ecology actually unites us. Clean air is necessary for everyone, clean water is important for everyone. I am sure that next year we will do a lot of good things together! Thanks to all our residents for supporting our environmental campaigns.  After all, everything we do, everything we start is, first of all, for the benefit of our residents," Alexander Shadrikov stressed.

The minister also recalled that this year Tatarstan became the winner of the All–Russian campaign for cleaning the shores of "Water of Russia" for the third time and noted that this victory is for all residents of the republic. He wished success and prosperity to all Tatarstan citizens and wished them a Happy New Year.
