The Minister of Ecology of Tatarstan said that the Ministry is currently implementing a research project "Improving the ecological condition of water bodies." Scientific work has been carried out since 2022 on the Kazanka River. "We are studying the influence of negative factors, primarily on diffuse runoff. In 2023, the second stage of the project was implemented. The Ministry of Natural Resources of the Russian Federation "VNII Ekologiya" has completed another volume of research work, and proposals have been made to combat diffuse runoff.

Answering a question on the improvement of the Noksa River, Alexander Shadrikov noted that this is the idea of the Tatarstan branch of the Russian Ecological Society, which has found support from both the Ministry of Ecology and the Ministry of Construction of Tatarstan, the Executive Committee of Kazan. The total cost is 703.4 million rubles. In order to implement the event in stages, proposals have been prepared with the allocation of 7 priority work sites.
"President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin has set the task that after the project "Improvement of the Volga River" we will be engaged in the improvement of other water bodies. We hope that we will also implement this project for the benefit of our residents," the head of the environmental protection agency concluded.
Currently, the possibility of implementing the Noksa eco-rehabilitation is being considered as part of the formation of a list of measures of the unified federal project for the environmental improvement of water bodies. The task is to work out the issue of starting implementation from 2024, the minister noted.
