The warning regarding the discharge of untreated wastewater into the Yerykla River has been fulfilled
Inspectors of the Volga-Kama territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology of Tatarstan this summer revealed an unauthorized discharge of wastewater into the soil with subsequent ingress into the Yerykla River near the Chistopol psychoneurological boarding school.
Environmentalists took samples of untreated wastewater 500 meters above the drain site. According to the results of the analysis of the samples, the excess of ammonium ion was 47.4 times, phosphate ion by 12.65 times, and a lack of dissolved oxygen was also recorded.
A warning was issued to the Executive Committee of the city of Chistopol about the inadmissibility of violating mandatory legal requirements. As part of the control raid, inspectors of the Volga-Kama Territorial Administration re-visited the site of the violation and took samples of wastewater. According to the results of the analysis of the selected water sample, no exceedances or maximum permissible concentrations were detected. Unauthorized discharge has not been recorded.
