Tatarstan will share its experience with the regions of Russia at a seminar-meeting on the improvement and conservation of water bodies
The event will be held on November 24-25, 2023 in Kazan by order of Deputy Prime Minister Victoria Abramchenko and with the support of the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Let us recall that in September, as part of a working trip to Tatarstan, Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Victoria Abramchenko visited the silt fields and biological treatment facilities of Kazan and noted that such an integrated approach and best practices in solving the problems of improving water bodies should be replicated throughout the country.
As a result, it was decided to hold a seminar-meeting, the main topic of which will be the results of the implementation of the federal project "Improvement of the Volga", issues of wastewater treatment, as well as the design, construction and operation of treatment facilities.
The seminar will be attended by the Ministry of Natural Resources of Russia, the Ministry of Construction of Russia, Rosvodresursy, Rosrybolovstvo, Rosprirodnadzor and 16 subjects of the Russian Federation participating in the implementation of the federal project for the improvement of the Volga.
Within the framework of the seminar-meeting, the best projects implemented by the regions for the construction of treatment facilities in the Volga River basin will be presented with an analysis of the possibility of replicating the technologies and solutions used in them. In particular, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan will present a pilot project for the recultivation of silt fields of biological treatment facilities in Kazan, research work on the ecological rehabilitation of the Kazanka River
In addition, the discussion agenda includes a set of issues related to the design, construction, commissioning and subsequent operation of treatment facilities. The participants of the event will also consider proposals to improve environmental legislation, including issues of regulation of wastewater discharges, which will help to improve the efficiency and environmental safety of water resources use by water supply and sewerage enterprises.
The Republic of Tatarstan will acquaint all the guests of the seminar-meeting with the work of the sewage treatment plants of Kazan and the plant for the thermal treatment of sludge. Both objects were highly appreciated earlier by the Deputy chairman of the government Victoria Abramchenko following their visit.
The possibility of an online broadcast of the event will be announced additionally.
With the support and participation of the RAVV, a seminar-meeting will be held with the regions on the results of the implementation of the federal project "Improvement of the Volga", issues of wastewater treatment, as well as the design, construction and operation of treatment facilities.
