Tatarstan Minister of Ecology Alexander Shadrikov took part in the #GoodnessRelay. He restored a spring in his small homeland in the village of Tatarsky Saplyk. The history of the spring has almost half a century. 50 years ago, teachers of a local school discovered a new key in the lowlands, took patronage over it, ennobled it, and the spring was popularly called "Teacher's". But over time, people started to forget about the source, and the road to the key was not easy, they had to go down into the ravine for crystal water.
And this year the voice of the spring sounded in a new way. As part of the #GoodnessRelay, which in 2023 was organized by employees of the Ministry of Ecology, one of the participants of the marathon of kindness handed over the baton to the Minister of Ecology Alexander Shadrikov. So, in the village of Tatarsky Saplyk, the improvement of not only the source itself, but also the adjacent territory began. The site was leveled, the ravine was recultivated, the spring bed was restored, a gazebo was installed over the watercourse, comfortable benches were placed, paths were made. "This is a memorable place for us. We have always called it the "Teacher's" key among ourselves, and it is very symbolic that in the Year of the teacher and mentor, that was announced by the President of our country, it has been completely restored, and the gazebo has already become a meeting place and recreation for the villagers," says the head of the Alyoshkin-Saplyk rural settlement, Pyotr Artemyev, and promises, that trees will be planted near the spring soon.
The road to the spring is now open all year round. The locals claim that tea from spring water turns out to be extremely tasty and laugh that this is not a simple source, but a real key of knowledge.
Let us recall that at the beginning of the year, the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan launched a flash mob #GoodnessRelay. More than 100 people took part in ten months. Tetyushi, Nizhnekamsk, Arsk, Menzelinsk, Kukmor, Kazan, Zelenodolsk – Tatarstan citizens did good deeds in each district. Participants planted trees, cleaned yards, participated in clean-up days, improved springs, posted photos and videos on their page on the VKontakte social network and passed the baton to others. Today Alexander Shadrikov handed over the baton to his colleague – Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Kuzyurov.
