7 steps to save nature! The children of the profile shift "Young ecologist" of the center "Koster" were told about eco-rules

31 October 2023, Tuesday

How to help nature and what to do to improve the state of the environment? This was discussed at a meeting of employees of the Ministry of Ecology with the guys of the profile shift "Young Ecologist". The children were given a few simple but very useful rules – 7 steps that everyone can do to meet nature:

- save resources;

- to separate the garbage;

- to hand over recyclables;

- choose eco-friendly transport;

- reuse and do not take extra;

- introduce eco-habits;

- give up plastic

The children shared their eco-habits with the specialists of the Department of Environmental Education and interaction with public organizations of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan. Young ecologists told what environmental rules they have in their family. "The whole family loves to ride bicycles. Dad rides a bike to work in the summer, despite the fact that we have our own car, and my sister and I ride a scooter. Parents suggested that we use this type of transport, as the car heavily pollutes the air," the youngsters shared.

Let us recall that from October 22 to 28, the republican profile shift "Young Ecologist" was held at the republican youth center "Koster". 138 children from 5th to 11th grade joined research, environmental protection and creative activities during the week. Meetings with experts, competitions, tests, theoretical and practical classes in ornithology, botany, hydrobiology, entomology and general ecology were organized. At the closing of the profile shift, Damir Valiullin, Head of the Department of Information Systems and Environmental Education, wished all young ecologists success and further fruitful work in environmental education.  "Careful attitude to nature should be taught from the earliest years, that's why such meetings and specialized camp shifts are so important, because this is a good opportunity to show children that ecology is not just a science, it is a way of thinking and a way of life," he said.
