Environmentalists took part in a civil defense training in Nizhnekamsk
Inspectors of the Zakamsky territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan took part in the All-Russian large-scale training on civil defense. At 11.20, the control received a signal from the unified dispatching service on duty. According to legend, as a result of a violation of safety regulations during repair work, a chlorine tank was depressurized on the territory of PJSC Nizhnekamskneftekhim. As a result of the accident, 5 tons of chlorine were released, there was a threat of the chlorine cloud spreading towards residential areas in Nizhnekamsk. The whole team was faced with the task of eliminating an accident with a spill of chemically hazardous substances at the enterprise.
Ecologists with a mobile ecological laboratory went to the site to examine the state of the air. Sampling was carried out in automatic mode using special equipment installed on the PEL. All participants got through the task. A total of 495 people were involved in the exercises.
