Today, the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan held a working meeting with the head of the project office of the federal project "Conservation of biological diversity and development of ecological tourism" Lyudmila Poplavskaya and the founder, president of the Charitable Foundation "Revival of Nature" Natalia Tornquist.
Welcoming the guests, Minister of Ecology of Tatarstan Alexander Shadrikov told about the directions in the work of the department. The participants of the meeting presented pilot projects of the Ministry of Ecology – the revival of the population of the red book Saker falcon, the creation of the Center for the Conservation of Biological Diversity "Ak Bars" and the development of an arboretum on the territory of the Volga-Kama State Natural Biosphere Reserve. The scientific support of the Ministry's projects, eco-educational activities and the development of ecotourism were particularly noted.
Let us recall that this year a pilot project was implemented to revive the population of the saker falcon, which last year became the winner of the SIBUR grant competition "Formula of Good Deeds". According to the results of the popular vote, the project entered the top three of the international award "Crystal Compass"!
