During the monitoring of the water area of the Nizhnekamsk reservoir, inspectors of the Kama Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan identified a floating crane extracting river sand. As it turned out, the floating crane carried out the extraction of common minerals without a license for the right to use the subsoil. To carry out investigative and operational actions, employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan were immediately summoned to the place. The volume of illegally extracted sand amounted to more than 1.5 thousand tons. Environmentalists calculated and presented the damage caused to the environment in the amount of 320 thousand rubles. In addition, the violator faces a fine of up to 1 million rubles. Currently, law enforcement agencies are deciding on the initiation of a criminal case.
