The carbon neutrality program was discussed at the international forum Kazan Digital Week – 2023
The International Forum Kazan Digital Week 2023 is coming to an end in the capital of Tatarstan. During the forum, the site of the Kazan Expo IEC united 5.7 thousand like-minded people from 31 countries. Nikita Maslov, Head of the Atmospheric Air Protection Department of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan, acted as a speaker in the eventful program of the forum. During his speech, he spoke in detail about the republican decarbonization program within the framework of the session "Sustainable Development Goals in New Realities. Tricks and real effects on the economy".
Let us recall that one of the ways to prevent global climate change is to decarbonize. Decarbonization is a set of measures aimed at reducing the amount of greenhouse gas emissions. An interdepartmental working group on climate policy and decarbonization plans has been established in Tatarstan on behalf of the Head of the Republic of Rustam Minnikhanov. The participants of the working group are representatives of enterprises and organizations of the Republic, the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan, universities and ministries. At the meetings of the working group, issues on the introduction of technologies aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions and increasing their absorption, scientific projects, as well as new approaches to managing the carbon balance are discussed.
