The inspectors of the Ministry of Ecology remind us what a preventive visit is, and why it is needed
A preventive visit is a key tool for minimizing the risk of harm in the system of control (supervisory) activities. Today, carrying out preventive measures at business facilities is one of the priority areas of work of control (supervisory) bodies, including the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan. Last year, inspectors of the Ministry of Ecology conducted 51 preventive visits. The format of the events makes it possible to achieve the safe functioning of the business without excessive administrative pressure in the mode of dialogue with entrepreneurs. As part of such visits, inspectors inform the controlled person about:
- the mandatory requirements imposed on its activities or on the objects of control belonging to it,
- compliance of control objects with risk criteria,
- the grounds and recommended ways to reduce the risk category,
- on the types, content and intensity of control (supervisory) measures.
They also warn entrepreneurs about responsibility in case of non-compliance with mandatory requirements of environmental legislation.
