Tatarstan is developing a digital platform for the ecology and nature management industry

8 September 2023, Friday

Deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Egor Tarnavsky told about this on the air of the SDG of Tatarstan.

He noted that the platform began to be developed 3 years ago, when it became necessary to automate the collection of data on the environmental situation and collect all the data into one system.

For example, the creation and implementation of the subsystems "Subsoil" will allow to achieve positive results, namely: to exclude the transportation of illegally extracted minerals, to stop a number of violations committed during the use of the subsoil, to ensure operational interdepartmental interaction.

The introduction of the Ecomonitoring subsystem in the Republic of Tatarstan will strengthen control over the state of atmospheric air, promptly respond to the deterioration of atmospheric air, and increase the investment attractiveness of the cities of the republic. Inspectors of the Ministry will automatically receive notifications of recorded exceedances with information about possible sources that have contributed to the unsatisfactory state of atmospheric air. This will reduce the time for responding, finding the source of the negative impact and taking appropriate measures.

Thus, on the territory of Tatarstan, according to the Deputy Minister, monitoring is carried out at 17 automatic stations for atmospheric air control, there are also 6 mobile laboratories that respond around the clock to citizens' appeals.

"Every 20 seconds our stations monitor the atmospheric air in the zone of influence of industrial enterprises. Within 20 minutes, this indicator is averaged and transmitted to the environmental monitoring system. Then there are calculations that, among other things, help us identify potential violators. Just digitalization will allow us to automatically process the readings that will be received from our stations. You will not have to manually hammer them into the system, then receive calculations. This is exactly the digital platform that is being developed," the deputy minister explained.

Thus, the platform is a tool to provide the republic with favorable atmospheric air, water quality, and promptly respond to violations in the field of subsoil use. "Our residents will receive the result of our work together with other departments in this platform," said Yegor Tarnavsky.

The geoinformation system "Ecological Map of the Republic of Tatarstan" is already working, where it is possible to see in open access the places of unauthorized waste disposal, the prescribed and actual term of landfill liquidation, etc.

The platform is 67% ready. In December, it will be tested, and it is planned to start using it in the first quarter of next year.
