200 thousand sterlet fry were released today into the Kama River near the village of Betki in the Tukayevsky district. The release of fish was initiated by SIBUR and Nizhnekamskneftekhim. The General Director of PJSC Nizhnekamskneftekhim Marat Falyakhov, ecologists of the Kama Territorial Department of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan, specialists of the Volga-Kama Interregional Department of Rosprirodnadzor, the State Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan for Biological Resources, Rosrybolovstvo, pupils of the Ecological and Biological Lyceum of Nizhnekamsk, students of the Betkin school, parents of children and others took part in the fish stocking.
According to experts, such events are important for replenishing the fish population in the reservoirs of the republic.
