The Head of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov met with the Minister of Oil and Environment of the Kingdom of Bahrain

Today, within the framework of the Tatarstan Petrochemical Forum in Kazan Expo, the Head of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov met with the Minister of Oil and Ecology of the Kingdom of Bahrain, Dr. Mohamed bin Mubarak Bin Daina. Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Alexander Shadrikov also took part in the meeting.

As Rustam Minnikhanov stressed, Russia attaches great importance to cooperation with Bahrain. "The leaders of our countries are brought together by similar positions on a wide range of international and regional problems, as well as the desire to resolve conflict situations and confront threats," said the President of Tatarstan.

He noted that Russia perceives the Kingdom as an important trade, economic and investment partner in the Middle East region. "Tatarstan, at its own level, strives to contribute to the development of cooperation with your country within the framework of Russian-Bahrain relations. We feel the constant attention of the King of Bahrain, His Majesty Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, to Tatarstan and are sincerely grateful to him for his support," Rustam Minnikhanov said.

Delegations from Bahrain are regular participants of the KazanForum International Economic Forum and meetings of the Russia–Islamic World Strategic Vision Group. But at the same time, the Head of Tatarstan noted the need to intensify ties in the trade and economic sphere.

The Minister of Oil and Environment of Bahrain thanked the President of the Republic for the warm welcome and spoke about the work of the Bahrain's delegation at the forum. "We have held talks with many companies participating in the exhibition today. We believe that this exhibition provides a unique opportunity to start working with companies from Tatarstan. We are interested in developing cooperation with partners from Tatarstan," he said.
