Tatar Oil, Gas and Chemical Forum was opened in Kazan. The event is held at the premises of the exhibition center “Kazan Fair”. President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, Chairperson of the National Council of the Republic of Tatarstan Farid Mukhametshin, president of the Union of Oil & Gas Producers of Russia Gennady Shmal, Deputy Chairperson of the Government of Bashkortostan Dmitry Sharonov, the Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Artem Sidorov, Director General of TATNEFT OAO Shafagat Takhautdinov and others participated in the opening ceremony of the Forum.

As the President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov acknowledged in his opening address, this year the forum is devoted to a special milestone event – the 70th anniversary from the beginning of the oilfield development on the territory of Tatarstan.

Rustam Minnikhanov reminded that more than 250 national and foreign companies presenting advanced technologies and equipment for oil, gas and chemical industry from ten countries participate in the Tatar Oil, Gas and Chemical forum. The experts have a possibility to exchange experience, familiarize with modern technologies, said Rustam Minnikhanov wishing success to participants of the forum.

President of the Union of Oil & Gas Producers of the Russian Federation Gennady Shmal acknowledged that forum in Kazan has become an integral part of the life of oil and gas field of Russia. According to him, oil workers of Tatarstan are leaders in implementation of new developments.

Deputy Chairperson of the Government of Bashkortostan Dmitry Sharonov read the welcoming word of the President of the Republic of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov. Bashkortostan attaches great importance to cooperation with Tatarstan when it comes to oil and chemistry, since these two republics have common problems, which can be successfully solved by joint efforts, as it was particularly mentioned in the welcoming word.

Rustam Minnikhanov awarded heads of several companies with diplomas, whose exhibit items, projects or technical solutions were awarded with Grand Prix featured at the exhibition. Such companies as “Nizhnekamskneftekhim” OAO, TATNEFT OAO in the person of TatNIPIneft (in two categories), “Gazprom Transgaz Kazan”, “RITEK” and several others were awarded with the highest awards in various categories.

Stands of participating companies were presented at the exhibition pavilion. This time, stands of oil-servicing companies and companies from adjacent fields joined the large-scale anniversary exposition of the group of companies “Tatneft”. Companies of the oil, gas and chemical field of Bashkortostan were remarkably represented. For the first time, stands of the six largest companies of Belarus included into the state corporation “Belneftekhim” are presented at the exhibition in a single block.

As a reminder, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan, TATNEFT OAO, TAIF OAO, “Tatneftekhiminvest-holding” OAO, “Nefteconsortium” ZAO and “Kazan Fair” OAO are organizers of the forum. This year, four field exhibitions are held in the framework of Tatar Oil, Gas and Chemical Forum: the 20th “Oil, gas. Petrochhemistry”, the 8th “Ecotechnologies and equipment of the XXI century”, the 4th “Plastics and Rubber”, the 3rd “Geo-Kazan: Exploration Department. Geodetic surveying. Cartography”.

Theforum, organized, amongothers, bytheMinistryofEcologyandNaturalResourcesoftheRepublicofTatarstan, willworkforthreedays. Such conferences as “Problems of enhancement of efficiency of advanced oil field development”, “Relevant matters of metrological provision of the flow rate measurement and quantity of liquids and gases”, “Main tendencies of development of petrochemical and petroleum refining industry sector”, “Industrial ecology and safety”, “Relevant matters of geodesy and geo-information systems”, “Industrial ecology and safety” will be held in the framework of the forum. Moreover, a round table “Extension of the use of petrochemical products of republican production in capital and road construction”, as well as a series of other topical events will take place.
