Today, a delegation of the Republic of Mordovia visited the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan on a working visit. Deputy Minister of Forestry, Hunting and Nature Management Alexander Sapunov and heads of departments of this department came to exchange experience. The guests were shown the work of a mobile laboratory and an automatic air pollution control station. The equipment is used for inspection of the territory of Tatarstan and rapid response when detecting violations of environmental legislation. In total, the Ministry of Ecology has 17 automatic control stations, 5 of them are located in the capital of Tatarstan.
After that, a round table in the Ministry of Ecology with the participation of Deputy Ministers of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan Egor Tarnavsky, Olga Manidicheva, Almaz Tugushev was held. The heads told about the work of the department – these are measures for the national project "Ecology", environmental monitoring, subsoil use, state environmental supervision, digital transformation of the field of ecology and nature management, environmental education. Separately, they focused on the activities for the reclamation of silt fields, the Samosyrov landfill, the reconstruction of biological treatment facilities in Kazan (BOSC) and the dismantling of the Lake Oil pipeline.
"One of the significant projects implemented within the framework of the national Ecology project is the dismantling of the Lake Oil Pipeline. Pipelines posed a threat not only to the Volga, but also to a quarter of the population of Tatarstan, since the reservoir provides water to more than 900 thousand people. Now the project has been implemented by about 60% and by the end of this year it will be completed," said Deputy Minister Egor Tarnavsky.
