The Republic of Tatarstan annually allocates grant funds for non-profit organizations for the implementation of socially significant projects, including environmental ones. Egor Tarnavsky spoke about grants and subsidies for the implementation of environmental projects during a press conference at the Tatar-Inform news Agency today.
He noted that the Republican Resource Center for the Support of Socially oriented NGOs organized 2 contests. In the competition for grants to non-profit organizations, the regional youth public organization "Will be Clean" won a grant for the implementation of the Eco-culture project. This project is a tournament of intellectual games on ecology among young people.
"Significant projects have also been implemented with grants from the Ministry of Ecology. One of the most striking examples is the project of the Regional Public Fund for Environmental Protection named after A. I. Shchepovskikh. A salt-chamber was assembled on the territory of the rehabilitation center "Zdravushka". The salt room is stylized as an underground cave with the sounds of nature and birdsong. 53 children can undergo rehabilitation at the center every year," the speaker said.
The next vivid example is the project of the youth movement "It will be pure" conference "RgoEco". It was held 3 years in a row. During this time, it was possible to reach 800 participants with environmental education.
In addition to republican grant support, non-profit organizations can count on federal programs. The Presidential Grants Fund annually holds 2 competitions for the provision of subsidies.
This year, 11,379 public initiatives from 88 regions of the country applied for support. Tatarstan guys from the youth movement "It will be clean" were able to win funding for the implementation of the project "Marathon of environmental knowledge. Learn. Apply. Act".
Within the framework of the grant of the President of the Russian Federation, the movement "It will be clean" has already organized environmental holidays, which took place in 9 districts of Tatarstan and covered more than 4.6 thousand participants.
"Rosmolodezh also holds 4 competitions during the year, 2 of which are for non-profit organizations and 2 for individuals. The project "Eco-Fest" from "It will be clean" received grant support. The Eco-Fest festival will be held on August 12 on the Kremlin Embankment. Within the framework of the festival, environmental workshops, contests and games, interactive and creative platforms, eco-lectures will be organized for participants. We invite everyone to take part in it!" - Egor Tarnavsky focused attention on the upcoming event.
The project is being implemented with the support of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan and the administration of the Kremlin Embankment in Kazan.
