This weekend, an environmental campaign was held to clean up a forest plantation near the village of Imenkovo, Laishevsky district. The event is organized by the Russian Geographical Society in the Republic of Tatarstan with the support of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. 60 activists who are not indifferent to the environment came out to clean up. By joint efforts, 147 bags of garbage were collected, mainly disposable tableware, juice bags, glass bottles. By tradition, garbage collection here is unusual - last year it was taken out with the help of a motorcycle trailer, and this year – on a cart with a horse.
"This time we collected a lot of garbage here, if 50 bags were collected in 2021, and 107 bags last year, then this year the amount of garbage collected was 147 bags. This place is very popular for walks and recreation of Tatarstan residents, who, unfortunately, do not have a culture of behavior in places of rest, leaving behind garbage. But it's not clean where they clean, but where people don't litter!" - Andrei Agarkov, Deputy chairman of the regional branch of the Russian Geographical Society in the Republic of Tatarstan, recalled the simple rules.
