First Deputy Minister of Ecology Ilnur Gubaidullin spoke with participants of the All-Russian Olympiad of Young Geologists
This weekend, the XIV All-Russian Open Field Olympiad of Young Geologists started in Almetyevsk on the basis of the recreation camp "Sunny", the participants were greeted by the First Deputy Minister of Ecology Ilnur Gubaidullin. He talked to the guys, evaluated their ideas and developments, gave advice on further implementation of projects.
"It was nice to meet such talented guys. I talked to all the participants, all well done! Young geologists showed us their projects, told us about their work, to be honest, some of them surprised us. I hope they will not stop there, they will study and become real professionals. I wish everyone good luck and success, may the strongest win," said Ilnur Gubaidullin, First Deputy Minister of Ecology.
Let us recall that these days Tatarstan is hosting young geologists from all over Russia. According to the applications, 40 teams (311 participants and 80 team leaders) take part in the Olympiad, including 35 teams from the subjects of the Russian Federation and 5 teams from the CIS countries.
The Republic of Tatarstan was represented by 3 national teams and one out of competition. Each team consists of 8 high school students and two supervisors. The guys will prove their professional skills in 11 competitions and 5 contests in various sections of geology – this is the geological route, mineralogy and petrography, oil and gas and others. The participants are evaluated by representatives of federal and Tatarstan geological universities, and geological production organizations.
The XIV All-Russian Open Field Olympiad of Young Geologists will last until August 7. The winners of the Olympiad are determined in team and individual competitions.
