Kazan residents will be able to take water samples from the famous spring in the forest of Russian-German Switzerland

As part of the educational project "Citizen-scientist", a master class "How to take water samples from a spring?" will be held in Kazan today in the forest of Russian-German Switzerland. Everyone can take part in it, and our leading specialist of the Central Department of the Laboratory of the GBU "Scientific and Production Association for Geology and Subsoil Use of the Republic of Tatarstan" Aigul Zakirova will analyze its composition together with the activist of the community "Protection of Kazan Switzerland" Anton Bortyakov.

Participants will learn:

- how to properly take water samples from a spring?

- what is unique about spring water in Kazan?

- how do they study water in the city?

- what measures can we take to improve water quality?

We will meet at 18:00

Let us recall that this is the second season of the project. This year it started on July 6. Deputy Minister of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan Olga Manidicheva welcomed all participants of the city laboratory "Citizen-scientist".

The laboratory will be open until August 6. Participants of the second season of the project will get acquainted with the Kazanka ecosystem, exchange knowledge with experts and residents, and will also be able to develop their own case.

The project is being implemented by the Kazan City Hall, the Institute of Urban Development of the Republic, the Directorate of Parks and Squares of the city with the support of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Tatarstan, the regional branch of the Russian Geographical Society, KFU and the State Committee for Bioresources of the Republic of Tatarstan.
