Amendments to the Federal Law "On Personal Data"
On September 1, 2022, amendments to the Federal Law "On Personal Data" came into force. Now operators must notify Roskomnadzor about the beginning or implementation of any processing of personal data. Exceptions are cases when the data is processed in order to protect the security of the state and public order, transport security, or if the operator processes the data exclusively without automation.
On the Roskomnadzor portal https://pd.rkn.gov.ru/operators-registry/notification/form /)/ the operator is given the opportunity to form and send a notification to the territorial authority of Roskomnadzor in one of the following ways:
- in paper form,
- in electronic form using an enhanced qualified electronic signature,
- in electronic form using ESIA authentication tools
After the entry into force of the Roskomnadzor order establishing a new notification form, the operator may send a notification of changes to the previously submitted information to the Register of Operators Processing Personal Data. https://pd.rkn.gov.ru/operators-registry/notification/updateform /)/ .
