Annual Republican Contest “Volunteerofthe Year” starts in Tatarstan

RegionalYouthPublicOrganization“CenterfordevelopmentofvoluntaryworkintheRepublicofTatarstan” withtheassistanceofthe Ministry of Youth Affairs, Sport and Tourism holds this contest as a token of gratitude and public acceptance of achievements and innovations in the field of social voluntary work, arrangement of voluntary work, contribution into development and support of voluntary work in the Republic of Tatarstan.
Volunteers, voluntaryassociations (organizations) undertheauspicesofeducationalestablishments, establishments of youth politics, healthcare, social protection, culture, non-commercial and commercial organizations, initiative groups, and families can participate in the contest.
Thecontestwillbeheldintwostages: anextensionstagewillbeheldfromSeptember 1 until October 15, 2013 at municipal units of the Republic of Tatarstan, and the on-site stage will be held from October 15 until December 10, 2013 implying summarization of results and solemn awarding ceremony.

As part of the new national project "Environmental well-being" Tatarstan has planned the implementation of 8 environmental initiatives with total funding of 3 billion rubles. The main part of the funds will be used for work on the federal project "Water of Russia", Minister of Ecology Azat Ziganshin said at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan.

As part of the monitoring of the territory of Naberezhnye Chelny, inspectors of the Kama Department revealed a violation of environmental legislation.
