The republican action "Eco-spring 2023" is coming to an end. Deputy Minister of Ecology Egor Tarnavsky and Head of the Department of Environmental Education and Interaction with Public Organizations Olga Artemyeva told about its results today at a press conference at the Republican Agency for Press and Mass Communications Tatmedia. Let us recall that the republican action "Eco-spring" takes place annually from April 1 to May 31 within the framework of the sanitary and ecological two-month period. This year "Eco-spring" is timed to the Year of National Cultures and Traditions and is held for the eighth year in a row.

According to Yegor Tarnavsky, the awarding of the winners of "Eco-spring" will be held in a new format for the first time. The ceremony will take place on June 8 on the territory of the extreme park "Uram". "The republican contest "Eco-spring" is coming to an end. On Saturday last week, the results in the category "Municipalities" were summed up. The winners were awarded with memorable prizes, cups and certificates," he said. The most active areas were identified in three groups. In the category "Municipal districts with the center - city status", the first place went to the Kukmor district. In the category "Municipal districts with the center-status: urban-type settlement, district center, village", the winners were representatives of the Vysokogorsky district, and in the group "Urban districts" Kazan was recognized as the best.

The competition is held in several categories — "The best kindergarten", "The best school", "The best family", "The best yard", "The best municipal education".

"In two months, our municipalities have held more than 750 events. Trees were planted near the central library in the Kukmor district, employees of municipalities conducted environmental lessons. An ecological campaign "Eco bus" was held in the Menzelinsky district," Olga Artemyeva said.

Also, a drawing contest "Ecology in traditions" was held within the framework of "Eco-spring". More than 1,000 drawings from school students and kindergarten students were submitted for consideration by the competition commission.

Traditionally, kindergartens and schools remain the most active participants. This year, 143 applications were received, 45 of them from kindergarten, 43 from schools, 37 from families and 18 from residents of courtyards.

"The best eco-family in our country traditionally receives a ticket to the sea or to a tourist city. This year the winners will go to St. Petersburg," Olga Artemyeva said.

For two months, the participants of the competition held tree planting, clean-up days, made birdhouses, also organized eco-lectures in trams, excursions to laboratories and other events. Young naturalists of the Republic also actively joined the competition.
