At KazanForum, Deputy Minister of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan Olga Manidicheva spoke at the session "Sustainable investments and Halal: on the way to fair finance"
The session was moderated by Svetlana Bik, head of the expert-analytical platform "Infrastructure and Finance of Sustainable Development". The session was also attended by Asiya Khasanova, a leading researcher at the Russian Research Institute of Economics, Ainura Sagyn, CEO of the Tazar mobile application (Kyrgyz Republic), Mohammed Abdul Khalid, Managing Director of DM Analytics Sdn Bhd (Malaysia), Mehmood Arshad, Chairman of the Pakistan-Qatar Business Council (Pakistan).
Deputy Minister of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan Olga Manidicheva made a report at the session. In her speech, she noted that the ongoing work in the Republic of Tatarstan in terms of minimizing the negative anthropogenic impact on the environment has found a worthy assessment on the scale of Russia. In the ESG rating, Tatarstan ranks 2nd among all regions of the country in terms of the quality of environmental, social and management policy. Tatarstan has already adopted a Strategy for socio-economic development until 2030.
"One of the priorities of the Strategy is the formation of a new efficient, including "green" economy based on the development of innovative activities and high-tech sectors of the economy. Currently, on the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan, industry, energy and transport can be identified as the main areas of implementation of "green" projects. The number of projects in the field of energy efficiency and renewable energy sources has increased. Sustainability of supplies and a social block of issues have become priorities for business," said Deputy Minister of Ecology Olga Manidicheva.
At the session, the speakers noted that ESG transformation for companies is the latest model capable of supporting the ecology and cleanliness of our planet.
