During the days of "KazanForum 2023", the scientific vessel of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan "Flamingo" patrols the water area of Kazanka
During the international economic forum "Russia – the Islamic World: KazanForum 2023" on May 18 and 19, the research vessel "Flamingo" automatically analyzes water samples of the Kazanka rivers. The results are displayed in real time. To enhance environmental monitoring of the Kazanka River water area, continuous research is carried out on the following indicators: nitrite ions, iron, phosphate ions, chloride ions, manganese ions, phenol, soluble petroleum products, sulfate ions, turbidity, oil film, redox potential, dissolved oxygen, hydrogen index and temperature.
Also, the Tatarstan "Flamingo" allows one to find deep-sea wastewater discharges, investigate the quality of these discharges, record violations on the water with video cameras on the go, measure hydrochemical and hydrophysical water indicators in real time. The vessel has equipment to solve a full range of tasks for the study of the water area. Computers, analyzers and special sensors are installed on board, they allow to detect pollution, if there is any, and analyze all changes in the composition of water.
"During the raid along the planned route, no exceedances of the maximum permissible concentrations of substances were detected. The length of the surveyed area was 22 km. The average concentration of dissolved oxygen on the Kazanka River is 26 mg / l, the temperature is 17 degrees. Everything is within the norm," said Artur Vildanov, Deputy Director of the GBU "Geocenter" for analytical activities.
Let us recall that the complex of ecological and analytical control was put into operation by the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan in 1996, in 2007 the complex underwent the first modernization, in 2022 - the second deep modernization. On May 16, the Flamingo vessel sailed for the first time this year. In Russia, only 5 such vessels are currently engaged in research activities.
The research vessel will also carry out the tasks set within the framework of the federal project "Improvement of the Volga" of the national project "Ecology".
