Within the framework of the state program "Reproduction and Use of Natural resources", work continues on shore protection in the Kama Estuary. Ilnur Nasretdinov, Head of the Department of Economics and Project Activities of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan, Artem Artemyev, Head of the Department of Water Resources in the Republic of Tatarstan of the Nizhnevolzhsky Department of Rosvodresurs, representatives of the Executive Committee of the Kamsko-Ustinsky district, Glavinveststroy RT State Institution and the contract organization ArkadaStroyUniversal LLC got acquainted with the progress of the work.
At the facility, work has already been carried out on hammering steel sheets, the formwork of the cap beam is being assembled and the reinforced frame is being assembled. The overall readiness of the facility is 81%. Shore protection is carried out to protect the population and social infrastructure from the negative impact of the waters of the Kuibyshev reservoir. The length of the collapse of the shore in this place is 580 linear meters. 400 people live in the destruction zone, residential buildings, outbuildings and engineering infrastructure facilities are located. Possible damage from the negative impact of water on the infrastructure of the village of the Kama Estuary is almost 300 million rubles.
The project implementation period is from 2022 to 2023. However, it is planned to complete the work ahead of schedule in September this year. The cost of the work is 220.8 million rubles. Funding comes from the federal and republican budgets.
It should be noted that the main reason for the collapse of the coast is floods, the rise of water in the Kuibyshev reservoir. This problem is acute not only in the Kama Estuary. On behalf of the President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, the Ministry of Ecology has already solved similar problems in several districts of Tatarstan. For example, in the village of Krasny Klyuch, Nizhnekamsk district, a dam was reconstructed for 2,107 meters.
The possibility of carrying out similar works on several more sections of the Volga and Kama coasts is also being worked out.
