The Kazan Interdistrict Environmental Prosecutor's Office conducted an inspection of compliance with the requirements of legislation in the field of biological waste management in the Republic of Tatarstan. Thus, violations of veterinary-sanitary and epidemiological rules were revealed in the Agrysky, Baltasinsky and Menzelinsky districts. Animal burial grounds (biothermal pits) had no fences, thereby the access of people and animals to a dangerous place was not restricted, which could lead to the occurrence and spread of diseases. The heads of local self-government bodies were given submissions to eliminate the violation. Today, access to biological waste disposal facilities is limited, fences have been installed.
