Let us recall that the Ministry received a complaint that the ice on Lake Emerald has acquired an unnatural color (bright pink). Inspectors of the Central Territorial Administration and specialists of the laboratory of the Ministry of Ecology went to the Kirovsky district of Kazan.
The laboratory specialists took water samples in 3 places and ice samples in 2 places. Also during the survey, environmentalists found a lot of remnants of pink-painted firecrackers on the lake; presumably it was the use of colored smoke bombs that could cause the color of the ice to change.
According to the results of the analysis of water and ice samples, no exceedances of the maximum permissible concentration of pollutants were detected.
The Ministry of Ecology asks all residents to treat our water bodies with care. Pyrotechnic products contain small particles of various chemicals. Falling to the ground, they easily penetrate into the soil, and can also pollute water. In addition, imperceptibly getting into the lungs together with the smallest plastic particles, smoke harms human health.
There are many alternatives to fireworks and balloons. Various flash mobs, collective planting of trees, participation in landscaping will easily replace them.
