A sanitary and ecological two-month period was launched in Tatarstan
Today, at a Saturday meeting in the Government House of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Minister of Ecology of Tatarstan launched a sanitary and ecological two-month period. It traditionally begins on April 1. Its main goal is the elimination of landfills and landscaping after winter. The relevance and necessity of this work is annually confirmed by statistics.
So, in 2022, within the framework of a two-month period, 4,574 landfills were identified by all supervisory agencies. 85 percent of them were eliminated by the end of the two-month period, the rest were removed within a year.
In total, within the framework of the two-month period last year, the supervisory authorities identified and stopped more than 7 thousand violations. 5404 violations were eliminated during the two-month period. 65% of the detected violations are unauthorized waste disposal.
Almost 510 thousand cubic meters of waste were taken to landfills of MSW, 19 thousand pieces of equipment were involved, 1.3 million seedlings of trees and shrubs were planted. 750 thousand residents of our republic took a direct part in all these works.
For three months of this year, the republican public environmental reception has already received 410 appeals on the facts of unauthorized waste disposal. Applications for violations of the law also come through the People's Control system. As of April 1, there are 122 unresolved notifications in this system under the category of "Landfills".
