The Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan calls on all Tatarstan citizens to join the Russian environmental campaign "Help the Planet"
"Help the Planet" is a campaign of Russian environmental organizations. They call on everyone to support environmentalists all over the world in an effort to save resources and foster respect for an environmentally friendly environment and hold a campaign to "Help the Planet" — turn off the backlight, reduce energy consumption on March 25 at 20.30 for one hour.
The ecologists' statement was published on the website of the all-Russian public organization "Green Patrol".
"Our society, Russian environmental organizations, and Russia as a whole have never stayed away from global environmental and climate problems: we have common interests in this area and we are always open to those who are ready to follow along with us. Russia's participation in the international action also underlines the commitment of the country's leadership to environmental issues in general," the statement said.
In Tatarstan, the illumination of the Kazan Kremlin Museum-Reserve, Kazan City Hall, City Hall, buildings of Ministries and departments, as well as theaters, state institutions and administrations of municipal districts of the Republic of Tatarstan will be turned off for the duration of the campaign.
