On the World Water Resources Day in Kazan, an ecological and educational campaign "With water on first-name terms" was held in the Koltso shopping mall. As part of the eco-campaign in the shopping and entertainment complex, specialists of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan held an open eco-lesson, where they told all participants why it is important to protect water resources, demonstrated experiments on determining water quality indicators and presented memorable gifts.
"The World Water Resources Protection Day is celebrated annually on March 22. In honor of this holiday, together with Rosvodresurs, an action "With water on first-name terms" is being held in Kazan. Especially for the students of the 7th grade of school No. 93, the staff of the laboratory of the Ministry of Ecology conducted a qualitative analysis of water for the content of ammonium ions, nitrites and phosphates. The water for analysis was taken from the Ashit River," said Olga Artemyeva, head of the Department of Environmental Education and Interaction with Public Organizations of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Also, as part of the event, residents learned their "water footprint". Thanks to the mini-application "Water Footprint Calculator" on the VK Mini Apps platform, VK users passed an online test, analyzed their lifestyle, calculated daily water consumption, and also got acquainted with environmental life hacks.
The ecological and educational campaign "With water on first-name terms" was also held in 4 cities of the Russian Federation (Moscow, St. Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Yekaterinburg) at the sites of the most visited shopping and entertainment complexes and business centers.
