138 thousand rubles will have to be paid to the owner of a car wash in Naberezhnye Chelny for illegal discharge of sewage
The Kama Territorial Administration received a video from a concerned resident of Naberezhnye Chelny. A fighter for ecology recorded on his phone camera how a car wash located on the Menzelinsky tract b.7A street was pumping out contaminated wastewater to a neighboring site with a hose.
Ecologists together with the staff of the laboratory of the Ministry promptly went to the place. The fact of violation of environmental legislation was confirmed. The total area of soil contamination was 35 sq. m. Soil samples were taken, according to the results of the analyses, iron was exceeded by 1.4 times, chloride ions by 5.8 times, nitrite ions by 1.5 times, anionic surfactants by 7.6 times and petroleum products by 1.8 times. According to ecologists of the Prikamsky TA, excess oil products and anionic surfactants indicate that the wastewater contains detergents.
The violator will be issued a warning and presented with damage to the environment in the amount of 138 411 rubles.
