Environmentalists drilled 200 holes in Nizhnekamsk district as part of the "Fish will live!" campaign
Inspectors of the Zakamsky territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan together with representatives of the State Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan for Bioresources and fishermen of Nizhnekamsk held an event to prevent fish starvation and oxygen saturation of the reservoir on Lake Karakul.
"Lake Karakul was not chosen by chance, an analysis of the content of oxygen dissolved in water was carried out here in mid-February. According to measurements, the oxygen in the lake was about 5 mg/dm at a rate of 6 mg/dm. Now oxygen indicators have decreased, so it was decided to hold an environmental campaign. Drilling holes is an effective method for aeration of reservoirs," says an employee of the Zakamsky TA.
Specialists of environmental agencies and fishermen drilled about 200 holes on Lake Karakul. After drilling, the participants of the campaign laid dry reeds or branches in each hole, they serve as air conductors. We invite all Tatarstan citizens to take part in the environmental campaign!
