The head of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov discussed environmental issues with the head of Rosprirodnadzor Svetlana Rаdionova
Today, the Head of the Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov met with the Head of the Federal Service for Supervision of Natural Resources Management (Rosprirodnadzor) Svetlana Radionova at the Government House of the Republic. The First Deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Ayrat Shigapov also took part in the event. During the meeting, issues of further cooperation were discussed, including in the field of environmental protection and nature management. The project of recultivation of silt fields, which is being implemented in Tatarstan within the framework of the federal project "Improvement of the Volga", was also touched upon.
Recultivation in the direction of "Elimination (recultivation) of objects of accumulated environmental damage that pose a threat to the Volga River" of the national project "Ecology". The customer of the works is the State Institution "Main Investment and Construction Department of the Republic of Tatarstan". At the facility, work on the formation of permanent and temporary anti-filtration protection, the movement of silt sediment and the preparation of maps for geotubes: the installation of the lower screen are underway . The total readiness of the facility is 48%. The implementation period is 2021-2024. With the elimination of this accumulated harm facility, the quality of life of 1,257 thousand Tatarstan residents will improve.
The head of Rosprirodnadzor Svetlana Radionova arrived in Kazan on a working visit. She will take part in an expanded meeting of the Volga-Kama Interregional Department of the Federal Service for Supervision of Natural Resources Management on the results of work last year and tasks for 2023.
