Nizhnekamsk schoolchildren can receive gifts for handing over plastic for recycling

13 January 2023, Friday

With the support of Nizhnekamskneftekhim, reverse vending machines have been installed in Nizhnekamsk schools, where students can hand over plastic bottles, get points and exchange them for gifts. The bonus program includes schools No. 15, 31, 36, 37, gymnasiums No. 2, 25, 32 and Lyceum No. 35.

Each participant will be able to get tickets to the home matches of the Neftekhimik hockey club by scoring 150 points. To do this, you need to hand over 30 bottles.

"We are always happy to support the fans at our matches. And if for this they also perform actions useful for the environment – they give plastic a second life, this is doubly excellent. We hope that at the same time this campaign will develop a love for nature and hockey in the young generation!", explained Igor Larionov, General Director of HC Neftekhimik.

The bonus program of the network of reverse vending machines produced by RT-Invest also includes other special offers.  The collected plastic will be recycled for cleaning and crushing to create an eco-friendly Vivilen PET pellet. Manufacturers of drinking water, milk, juices and other beverages will be able to produce new bottles from this material.

"We bring plastic bottles from home and hand them over to the reverse vending machine not for prizes and gifts. We want there to be less garbage on our planet, and plastic is recycled," Polina Babina, a student of school No. 36, shared her opinion.
