More than a million trees have been planted in Russia this year
Forest volunteers and partners of the Plant a Forest project planted 1,023,750 trees in spring and autumn. Thanks to such actions, 294 hectares of forest territories were restored. 12,000 trees were planted in our Republic alone. During this year, the project coordinators conducted 93 reforestation campaigns, which took place in 46 regions of Russia.
More than 7,000 people took part in the plantings – these are activists and volunteers of different ages. Together they planted pines, firs, oaks, cherry trees, larches, birches, elms and poplars.

Plant a Forest project is a crowd funding platform of the ECA Movement to raise funds for forest restoration, operating since 2015. Over six years, the project and volunteers have planted more than 4.5 million trees in 52 regions of Russia.
