At the final meeting, the head of the Ministry spoke about the main events that were held on the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan within the framework of the national project "Ecology". According to Alexander Shadrikov, the reclamation of the Samosyrov landfill in Kazan is taking place within the framework of the federal project "Clean Country" and will be completed in 2023. Over 20-25 years of operation of the Samosyrov landfill, 1.5 megawatts of electricity will be received.
According to the Minister of Ecology, in 2019, about 300 complaints were received about the unsatisfactory quality of atmospheric air from residents of the microdistrict and nearby settlements.
"On behalf of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, we have started conducting surveys to include the reclamation of the Samosyrov landfill in the federal project "Clean Country" of the national project "Ecology", — he added.
It should be noted that the reclamation of the landfill is carried out with active degassing. Electricity will be generated from gas. And thus, the landfill will benefit the population. The implementation period of the event is 2021-2023, the cost of the work exceeds 872 million rubles. The landfill reclamation project is a landmark pilot project for Russia. Landfills of such a huge volume have not been recultivated anywhere else in the country in this way: at the start of the project, these were two truncated pyramids with a height of more than 30 meters, in which more than 1.5 million cubic meters of waste were tightly compressed, an area of more than 14 hectares. After completion of the work, the quality of life of 342.9 thousand people will improve.
